Pier at Blue Hour, Gammelgarn, Gotland
A lone pier stretches out into the still water outside Gammelgarn during the blue hour.
The pier in this photo no longer exists – it was replaced a long time ago. This was taken on a completely calm midsummer evening, when the optical illusion of sky and water blending together occurred. The spot is west of Katthammarsvik, on the beach below the Vike woods.
